You'll have to go back to Michigan side."

I've considered having my credit card company cancel the transaction, but the last thing I need is for it to be flagged with border patrol. I have to cross the border for work on occasion, and they already interrogate me about the possibility of taking a Canadian's job away if they let me through.

Ontario had zero on their website about being closed, and I shouldn't have been allowed to purchase a license (the day before I went fishing).

Ok, rant over.

OK, I am curious as I honestly don't know. I assume the border is a magical line in the middle of the lake and the GPS coordinates tell you when you cross. How close will they let you get? Can you be 1/2 a mile from the border? Is that the shipping lane?

I assume there is a legit reason for getting a license from Canada. It the US side not the good fishing area?
