I'm coming back to the pop culture world...
My trip to Amoeba Records on Sunset and Vine opened my eyes (and ears), and has told me what I've been missing during my brief hiatus from the world of nose rings and tats.
Not that I'm getting either - be still my conservative heart!
But the Interpol CD I picked up, ROCKS, baby. So my question to the hipper crowd on this board (Jared, of course), is what bands out there are similar to Interpol? In my substance-abused-drag-anything-sharp-over-the-vein-youth, I knew of (of course) Bauhaus, Joy Division, New Order, et al, and as such, have already been adorned in black trenchcoats down that broken road of darkness.
Hence, I'm looking for new edge and (of course) new depression.
So, is there anything similar to Interpol's sound that you guys know of. Scholar me. Inform me?
