I've owned my Deere for 20 years now...always fixed anything myself..never been in the shop...until now.
Went to start it a few days ago and as soon as it fired up...it was squealing like crazy.
Looking under, with the deck removed, the main engine belt is halfway off the pulleys, chunks missing ...and wedged between the keepers.

It connects the engine to the tranny..passing over the fan in the back.
It's a different type of belt..twice the width, almost like two belts in one.
Brought it in to the local JD shop...week and a half for the fix.
Grass needs cutting every other day now. I have a push mower...It's a 3 beer mowing job

Lawn is an acre and a half...I figure it's only a 15 mile walk!
