Got the parts I needed and reinstalled the steering rack in the race car. The old worn out custom aluminum coupling was replaced with a new one from Rebel Racing, along with factory bolt locking plates. I only replaced the rack because I had a nice one on the shelf that was a lot smoother. When I went to reassemble it I noticed the mounting bolts were too long. Turns out the original rack had been redrilled and fitted with helicoils to fix the threads at some point in its life, that's why it had the long bolts. All better now, just need to realign the front.
