I always use one for multiple purposes, so I like one which can adjust wide and light to water plants/trees and also can be adjusted to go far and strong to wash things around the house/cars. Something like this is what I usually use, but bigger.

The below is the one I like the most, the look/size and being brass and heavy. It is a lot heavier than those selling nowadays. It leaked between the tip and the body/base years ago (they all leak at that spot), but because I like it so much so I kept it in the drawer for a long time

. This weekends I choose this one to learn... first I use pipe wrenches to twist it out but it won't separate. When twisting, I hear friction sound form the inside. Hearing the sound, it seam like what wdfifteen mentioned snap-ring above is what it is. Then I put it on the vise and use hammer/punch at the internal tip hoping I can break the ring and pop out, but instead of that, I broke the lip
