Last summer I went up with a friend and took the controls at around 3,000ft. It was a lot going on with stick and pedals and throttle, but with his coaching I got the basics down anyway in a few minutes. It all made sense and was very reactive to inputs. That said, while I could probably aviate/navigate/communicate a similar plane to an airport, I have no doubt I would crash hard despite anything someone was saying in my headphones.
