We had the house painted and with a brick house it is mostly the soffits, and the peaks above some of the windows. 5 gallons painted the entire house. They did all the outside doors and trim around the doors. In the past the trim around the garage doors was while. Mr. Carrera said to paint the same grey as the rest of house and the doors. Then I tried to park in the garage.
I never realized how much I use the white trim pieces to align my car as a back in. The way the garage is set up on the side of the house, it is impossible to just pull straight in. To go in forward would require me to back up at least once. The back up and then go forward to leave. If I back in, it does make me pull up to the end of the driveway, and back straight up into the garage, but I can just pull out forward with no backing, and make it no problem.
So they repainted the front edge of the trim white. No big deal. Now I can see the garage door opening in the shadows or at night.
The two door garage that is the first one up the driveway is easy to just pull into. Well the 911 can just turn right in. The El Camino is so long I have to pull up to the back of the driveway, back up to the far west, then pull into the garage. The driveway is enormous. I can easily park six cars in the driveway, and still get my cars in and out of the garages.
