"rnln", the white stuff you describe may be efflorescence. It's a white residue that probably needs to be treated with something like vinegar, scrubbed and finished up with a (neutralizing) solution of baking soda in water. After rinsing & drying, it can be resealed.
You can cast(sprinkle) some powder on the concrete, and add a complimentary color to the sealer. Concrete 'stain' probably won't take because it was sealed. If you sprinkle water on it, and it soaks in (not beads) stain may work.
