Agreed. Never worn Crocs but I have worn out 100's of flip flop sandals and 5 pair of vibram 5 finger shoes. In house I am barefoot unless it's very cold out and then a pair of socks. Going out to friends or casual dinner its flip flops and jeans. SoCal thing. Running, gym (is that even a thing anymore?), yard work, active walks, etc...in my 5 finger shoes. Wife hates them haha. I am almost 60 years old and in my closet right now are 4 pairs of closed toe shoes, 2 are 15+ years old, 2 are newer, dress shoes (brown) for suits and slacks, sketcher brown shoes for jeans and dockers.
Edit...Oops forgot a black pair of UK Doc Martins, they are at least 20 years old and still comfortable, but looking tired. Guys don't look at shoes right? My wife loves me regardless
Years ago I flew into Omaha in January, my travel footwear is again...flip flops...surprise! Car rental was outside, around the parking garage. I think it was 5F and flurries of snow, my toes were pretty cold. LOL.
