I have had Land Cruisers before I bought my 1996 Series 80 from a friend of mine last year.
It had 114K on it when I bought it and now has 129K
I love the thing. It is not a rocket ship or a Cayenne in the curves but it's mine and it makes me happy.
Btw, we are finally parting ways with the 2003 4Runner we bought from OWP in 2005. The kids are all on the East Coast and we want to travel a bit more than we have in the past few years. 265K with no real issues. Make a great college/HS ride.
We are replacing it with a new 4Runner. Not cheap but it will be my wife's car and she deserves it...that plus we keep cars a minimum of ten years.
So to the OP, if you plan on keeping the new Land Cruiser I can't imagine why not taking the plunge. If we were buying the new car for me I would seriously consider the LC new.
