I've had a few scrapes over the years but nothing like what Fred described. Thankfully in Fred's case they caught the bastards and they served time.

I know a woman that had her teeth smashed out by home invaders. They broke her BF's arm, smashed his head with a club and gave him brain damage. After all that they had the wrong house, drug related. Eight years later she's still suffering anxiety from the crime and can't work.

The info about the thugs past Fred got from the Police?
... I really don't know what I would have done if the same thing happened to me. Or maybe I do but I wouldn't write that on a public forum.
