Also the lift decision makes sense. The amount of time it would outshine your midrise would be minimal, and as you said, it depends on what your future projects look like anyway.
The oak does look jarring but you could probably respray it white in an hour and they would disappear. Beats busting out another $5-8k for Gladiator stuff.

Thanks. Your thinking was the same as mine. My goal is to have as much free floor space in the work area as possible--so tool boxes only go on one of the long walls, for example.

I'm thinking about painting the oak cabinets red to match some of the other shelving and the toolboxes.
