The stop sign turn at Hallett has a tire wall before the trees. In all the autocrosses and track days I have done I have never had brake fade issues. Maybe having only 200 HP and not pushing to the limit helps. My only goal is to have fun, and drive home with no issues. With no ABS, I don't push braking super hard.
That is one of my favorite turns. Coming over the hill, down towards that hard turn and getting the braking point just right and making the turn is a blast. In the 2020 911S we drove on track and the new Cayman it was a blast to just stand on the brakes and hear the PDK downshifting in milliseconds, and ready for a ton of HP after the corner was fast.
I still prefer to be the actual driver, and have zero computer help and a slow 915 transmission to row the gears on with only 200 HP pushing me. There is no better engine sound than the flat 6 screaming behind me. I will admit to a slight prejudice in that fact.
In the past the fast cars come up behind me and I can wave them to pass on the side I want, and I don't have to lift, just pedal to the metal and they scream past with over double the HP. It really is amazing how much faster the new cars are.
