Right, take it to a pro, I paid 150 to windshield and replacemnt. It's messy and a PITA. I used to work in a body shop and we replaced WS there, I hated every aspect of it. Let someone else get the grief, if the shop is good they have to garuante that it wont leak.
I had a little surface rust on the mounting surface the guy cleaned it up and put down some special primer that seals the metal. Nice job, find a good place and its worth the 150 or so.
