I worked for a Fiat dealer for a VERY short time in about 1973. None of the new cars arrived with radios, so we installed radios and antennae. To install the antenna in the front fender we drilled a 1/4 hole and took a punch and pounded it in until the hole was big enough to receive the antenna. Our cheap ass boss bought the Fiat approved radios, but got cheap antennae from the local sleaze bag who sold vinyl roof coverings. Remember those?
