Actually, only half true. The first half of USA production 911Ts had MFI, ROW was carbureted, IIRC. U.S. market cars all had MFI in the beginning of ‘73 model year and post-January 1st 1973 911Ts had CIS injection, (hence 1973.5 model).
All USA 1972 911 cars had MFI. There were no carbureted 2.4 cars sold w carbs in the U.S.
