I for sure had the only air cooled car on the grid. Just 3 run groups, with 5 cars each. So lots of track time. I was completely pooped after 6 - 20 minute sessions. My face hurts from grinning. They were going to keep running until 5:00 PM. I gave up at 3:30 so I missed out on two sessions.
The weather was fantastic. It was "only" up to mid 80s as I left, with steady breeze and very pleasant in the shade of the canopies they have there. I never even used my cool vest.
I did consistently run a 1:44 which is not bad for a 100% street car. I had 3 pretty new Corvettes in my run group, only one was on slicks and trailered. And one 996 911. All the cars had more HP and I passed the 996, and could stay with the street Vettes. They did not run off and leave me at all.
Dang, no doubt the most fun one can have in a car with their clothes on.
