Are you talking about this sensor?
If so, there is a tab on top of sensor that runs front to back. It passes thru the two black ribs (I.e. bracket) that hold it in place. The black ribs are attached to air filter cover. Pull up on the end of tab that is away from you; towards front of car. The tab will snap lose and the sensor can be pulled free and set aside.
