I used an app on my phone called Track Addict. It works pretty cool. It knows to start recording as I get on the track. I have to tell it to stop recording which is weird.
I just hit 90 on the back straight, which is redline in 3rd. The entire track is second and third for me. I likely could cut off a few seconds if I was willing to abuse the transmission and downshift in more corners. I felt proud to have run down a 996 911 driven by a guy that has done many track days. The Corvettes with a lot more power could slowly pull away on the long straights, but I could catch up on the braking and corners. For 35 year old street car with no ABS, no traction control, no power steering and NONE of the other computer aided gizmos at all, and a slow shifting 915 transmission my old car did great.
