This reminds me of the time I had to let my daughter learn a lesson the hard way. She'd come to a Porsche show I was attending down at Mission Bay in San Diego. We went to lunch, took her car as mine was parked for the show. I noticed she had her iPhone charger cord out on the console when we got in the car. I was going to suggest she stash it but figured she was a big girl now and didn't need to have her dad telling her how to keep her car in order.
Well, a couple weeks later, she had her window broken while her car was parked right outside the house her brother was sharing with her. All her electronic stuff got taken. Had to get the window replaced so she could go to work. Luckily there was a guy living across the street that knew of a place that could take care of it that morning.
Next time I saw her car there wasn't anything in sight inside it.
I hated that I hadn't warned her, but, some things are better learned the hard way.
