I've always questioned whether locking a vehicle door is better than leaving it unlocked. Several years ago someone broke into my truck causing about $1000 worth of damage in the process. About 6 months ago someone got into the same truck which was unlocked and took about $10 worth of change and a Buck knife so not a huge deal. I normally do lock the vehicles but often wonder if I am doing the right thing. It's a crap shoot I guess.
I was in Vancouver several years ago and saw several parking spots with auto glass on the ground where obviously auto break ins had occurred. So is locked better than unlocked?
