I was in Vancouver several years ago and saw several parking spots with auto glass on the ground where obviously auto break ins had occurred. So is locked better than unlocked?

I am in the no lock group. I have nothing in the car of value and really have no problems. A few years ago someone was going through the area every Friday night. Lost a pair of cheap sunglasses and thats it. After a few weeks they stopped.
