I agree that this was a surprising outcome even for BaT. Paint bubbles, respray (or was it just refinishing?), twisted dials, aftermarket steering wheel (and muffler from memory), BBS rims are not the kinds of things that generally resonate on BaT. I had this one pinned in the 40s. Value generally all over the place in all risk assets though. That’s amplified on BAT bc the market is more illiquid, less informed and auction dynamics do cause people to spend their last dollar + 1 or 2 more.
Out of interest, what do you think the median BAT premium is for a like for like car? I’d have put it at 10-15%.
