We have a family place in Sweet Home. It is beyond lovely. 100 acres on the river. Wife's grandparents farmed it. Now? It exists for the sole purpose of enjoyment. Planning on going there next week.
Redneck? Oh yeah. Try the pawn shop for a good time. It is a failed mill town. Economically very much off the rails. A tragedy. Don't drive your bimmer. Might get assaulted.
Love that place. It is Oregon willamette valley perfection.
(And, Paul lives just down the road. Never met him. I keep looking for sweet green Bullits.)
