I was watching a show on Motor Trend TV, previously, Velocity, and previously Speedvision. The show I was watching was Roadkill. Pretty funny, and very guy oriented almost redneck engineering.
The good new is was recorded on my DVR. As I skipped the commercials, and started watching the next segment, over and over was an big add for something on the OWN network, for a show called Smothered. It evidently was about a mother and daughter and the daughter looked to be in her mid 30s or 40s. I would rather watch my ceiling fan spin that a show about an overbearing mother and some adult daughter that is under her control. Maybe women would want to see it, but to advertise it on a station that I bet is 95% men watching is poor placement of an ad.
They also had ads for feminine hygiene products, during a Roadkill episode. Just bad ad placement. I expected adds for little kids toys next.
It sure made me love my fast forward on my DVR.
