That orange 240 must been something very, very special to draw money like that. Like perfect condition with 12 miles on the odometer special.
Regular ole classic cars do not bring the huuuge $$$ we see on barrett jackson or others, they are the best of the best of the best.


Another way to look at it that might make you feel better:

if you took all the money you spent on that car in college, plus all the money it would take to store and maintain the car over all those years, and invested it in Apple stock instead. How much would that be worth adjusted for inflation?
It's very rare to make money investing in rolling stock when everything is factored in.
