the bottom part of the back lower of the wide body QTR's I welded a bent piece of sheet metal to the pinch weld. this gave me a flat area to bond the wide body QTR panel to.
at the top back edge of the wide body QTR's I cut a piece of 1/8" flat stock and welded that to the body right above the corner rear tail lamp. that gave me a bonding area for the wide body QTR's to sit on for support.
some people will attach the QTR's with quarter turn fasteners but this is no reason for this on the rear wide body panels they do not need to be takin off for any reason at any time.
so I used SEM panel bond adhesive made for metals fiberglass and SMC plastic.
another mistake many people make is they will bond and rivet or screw the wide body panels on but you will end up seeing the fasteners a few years later. there is no reason to use anything other then a bonding adhesive.

like most all FG panels the wide bodies FG quality is a but much to be desired. they fit like dog poop!
you will see many wide body kit installed with the QTR's up to high and the body lines not lining up with the body lines on the car.
this is were taking time to cut and fit the wide body comes into play.
