I took my wife and kids around a few weekends ago. My 14 yo daughter loved it so much she went on 4 more laps. She took video with my phone (no video allowed and no timing of laps
). She was laughing the whole time! We were in a Polo GTI, so we got passed a lot. I would call out what car was coming up a she loved seeing a GT3 fly by a few feet away from us.
Yes, it's not the fastest car, but it was fun pushing that little car around the corners. The Apex crew put huge stoptec breaks and sticky tires , so there was a lot of late breaking.
I learned real fast not to try and keep up with GT3s and AMGs after getting passed. They had way too much performance and I would likely had an accident.
I'm headed back up tonight for a intro track day tomorrow. I'm doing a few laps in a peeped M4. No in car instructor due to C19.
