Back in my bachelor days, and the only time I ever had a roommate, (duplex mate?) we had a spare refrigerator in the garage, just next to the door to the garage. No joke, we had a x marked on the floor in front of the beer fridge. It was always stocked with a wide variety of beers. From really good German lagers (yum) to some really cheap beers like Old English or Colt 45. They were all mixed up, and in random order.
We had lots of buddies come over to help drink our beer. Our rule, close your eyes, turn in a circle once, then reach in to get a random beer. That was what you had to finish before you could go back for more.
One of my long time favorites is Guinness Extra Stout. One needs to be a real beer lover to enjoy it. It is very dark heavy stout beer. Most casual beer drinkers hated it. It was a million times better than a Pabst Blue Ribbon or Coors Light in my opinion.
