Ohhh, I hadn't considered the better wear characteristics, etc. when I posted - makes sense.
Do you think that throttle blipping (rev matching) helps preserve the sycoros? I learned to do that when motorcycle racing and almost always do it with any manual gearbox machine (on acceleration and deceleration). It makes shifting feel smoother, but I don't have any idea if it is useful otherwise (other than it is fun to do).
