I live near the former location of PH and had been their customers since 1991. I have considered the owner and employees as friends for the entire time. I can remember when some of the former owner's children were still in strollers. Time marches on!
Sorry to see them close.
I know that some inventory was bought by other Porsche businesses (like shops) and some by individuals.
One of the businesses is Engine Builder's Supply up in Sparks/Reno. EBS are also 20+ year friends, and friends of the owner and employees at PH throughout the years.
I am not sure of EBS' status with the Pandemic situation. Likely an e-mail or phone call by those interested can reveal their status.
Folks should realize that many of the historically active Porsche dismantling businesses here in the US have faced a steady decrease in the availability of economically viable air-cooled cars to support used parts inventory. The progression of baby boomers desiring 911's and the booming economy have had a lot to do with that.
As for water-cooled stuff, I know for sure that PH had a bunch of 944 and Boxster inventory, and of course were likely leaders with water-cooled 911 cars as well. Not sure how the economic viability of those types of cars compared to the air-cooled world.
I miss PH. And will always be greatful to the owner and the folks I have met that worked there through the years.
