Don't know well about the value question. That's a tough one and I don't think you'll get much response here. Most if not all here would be too shy to get near the stigma associated with a sporto. Not me though and Nathanbs isn't either. He's got enough balls to admit he has one, but maybe because he has enough manual cars to cushion his love for one sporto.

I have a 69E sporto too and I'm not shy. It's a piece of history and its different. I like that. I don't worry about my self esteem like most of these guys that tow the stigma line out of their own insecurity.

Mine is original ROW invoiced to Japan -- a dealer car. Still original 43K. It also needs restoration, but I got it up and running and mechanically sound. VIN/CHASSY is 002X, so maybe the first sporto off the line?

Better you keep yours manual for resale? Would be interesting to hear more and see pics of what you have.
