Just for a data point, I passed on a 100k mile 2010 997.2 S 6-speed manual in the exact same geographical location, (Saratoga), one year ago for $39k. It was white w black interior, sport chrono and most other options and not tracked. It needed brakes and tires yesterday.
I paid for a PPI from GMG, (Syncroid on Pelican), and drove all the way up w a friend to grab it and then backed-out after seeing and driving it. It was ok but had a big scratch on the hood that the guy failed to mention and he also omitted telling me about the bald tires and paper thin brake pads before I drove 400 miles. The whole thing put a bad taste in my mouth and I just didn't feel like handing over nearly 40 large to this mook.
I drove a block away, pulled over and called the guy to tell him I was passing on it. Felt great. Asked my friend if he wanted the best steak in Monterey and hit the road. Got back to LA around midnight.
I passed on a 2009 997.2 non-S 6-speed w normal miles, (don't remember exact miles), silver/black sport chrono that had been resprayed due to a storm dropping branches on it-top quality job and clean title for $31k about 4 or 5 years ago. That one sold fast.
