Yes, and interestingly they usually look like normal humans, complete with crooked teeth, bad hair and all the vagaries that run rampant throughout the gene pool.
From my recollection, none of the men depicted by actors look like Tom Hanks and none of the women look like Charlize Theron, yet they actually did the act of greatness by just strength of character...
