Of course "Redskins" is not a tribe but it is representative of Indians! Is it disrespectful or respectful?
What I'd really like to know is how native Americans feel about it.

Would you back a team that was using a derogatory racial slur as a name? I wouldn't.

I don't see a problem with Redskin because of the context.

How about the Atlanta Braves? I'm sure if your searched hard enough you'd find someone who's offended by that.
