What about if, back in '84 I latched on to an '83 insanely cheap. (Someone owed a gambling debt, for example and rather than develope a limp for the rest of thier life, they wisely deed me the coupe). I play golf with the Callaway district super. We decide, just for $h!ts and giggles to throw a Callaway conversion on that bad boy. Some dished pistons and a few other mods, my 944 is lighter than the 85/2 series of vehicles and has a turbo. Something Porsche would've made me wait another 2 years for. Sure, Porsche does it better, more reliable, but, Frankie Fingers Felonious exFord Fencer, is that really a numbnuts thing to do? Think of the reaction you'd get at the next PCA bull session.
BTW, anyone interested in what the Callaway conversion involves, do a search of "Callaway" and "THolyoak" and the username. He has a site that has some nice photos of it.
