The trend to people being heavier has been going on for quite some time. Do so research about seats in cars and public space. They have had to increase the sizes to keep up with the lard bottoms. Airplanes have had to deal with this as well although it is double trouble because why people are getting more obese, the airlines have been reducing seat sizes and spacing between rows.

Concerning "body positive" thinking. IMO it it totally wrong. We can have a good opinion of ourselves but that doesn't mean we should be happy with an unhealthy body. I don't shun my wife because she doesn't have a the trim body from when she was young but I won't say "its just fine if you are killing yourself by being 50 or 100 lbs overweight". The person inside is the one I love.

I don’t mind a lard bottom as long as it’s a shapely lard bottom..


One positive new trend to come from these larger backsides are the bathing suits have got smaller.

It seems the larger the bottom the less material that is needed to cover it..
