All true. Smart move.
My son was a pistol and rifle instructor at VMI and he works with the newbies. We always start with a Single Six Ruger in .22 to see how they do. We never push, just make sure they are safe and get the basics down.
We have a nice range of target to try and hit and run a clean range. You have probably seen this since it has been posted here before, but I like this guys approach and have adopted it for my Glock 22 4Gen as well as my Hi-Power.
