I love my 02 Boxster S but mine is far from stock
. I have had two air cooled 911's , a 914/6 clone and a 87 944S and the Boxster is the best of the bunch in my opinion . With my 282 + hp at the wheels I have all the performance I can handle . She sounds great and handles like she's on rails . Has great HVAC along with heated seats . Rowing through the 6 speed manual gearbox is magical . Throw on my color matched hard top and she's quiet in the cab .
Don't get me wrong I have loved every Porsche I have owned , but my Boxster is special . There is something to be said about an excellent balance between performance/comfort/reliable/fuel mileage/safety . The past few days here in GA. where I live it has been 95-97 degrees out and HUMID !!! Fire up the old gal , put on the AC and head for a 55 mile loop through the mountains . It is heaven on wheels
