Preview has some tricks too - e.g. there is limited ability to edit pdfs, edit jpgs, convert to other types, reduce size, draw on the pic etc.

Sadly, I have to say that you will eventually need to do things like:


Reset SMC of an iMac
1. Shut down your Mac
2. Disconnect the power cord
3. Press and hold the Mac’s power button for 5 seconds
4. Release the button
5. Reattach the power cables and boot the Mac as usual

Resetting the PRAM, NVRAM
* Reboot a Mac and then immediately hold down the*Command+Option+P+R keys

to restore the thing to normalcy

It's better than a Windoz PC, but not the gift from Siva that some acolytes make it out to be...
