This is why I have reacted so violently to people advocating for extended lockdowns. No it’s not a quarantine, quarantines are for sick people. Forcing healthy people to stay locked in their homes is a lockdown.

Statistically speaking CV kills old people with health conditions, not trying to be callous but that’s a fact. The “cure” for CV (that’s not working) destroys and lives of young and healthy people. These are the CV deaths that will never be counted, the victims that will never receive treatment. Kids, teenagers, business owners, employees, they’ve had their lives ripped apart by politics and government overreach. Kids who don’t get to go to school and see their friends, which is your entire basis of normalcy as a kid. Athletes who have invested years in sports no longer allowed to play. High school and college seniors who never got to experience their graduation. High school students who never got a senior prom. Business owners who spent decades building their business, only to watch powerless as the government made it illegal for them to open their doors. Employees that can’t pay their bills or support their families because their employer was forced to shut down. Drug and alcohol abuse is up, domestic violence is up, all violent crime is pacing to break records across the nation. It makes me absolutely sick to my stomach, absolutely sick. I suspect that the victim count from the CV “cure” will dramatically outpace the actual CV deaths, but we’ll never hear about that.
