The 928 parking brake is inside the rear rotor hub and have to be moved/adjusted any time you replace the rear rotors. On my 89 944 Turbo the rotors got so hot the parking pads deformed the rotor hubs but did not wear the pads. They were ballooned out where the pads pushed on the hubs. And I never used the parking brake on the 944. I've always considered brake pads, rotors, brake fluid, and tires consumables when autocrossing.

Never drove where there were bump strips inside the apex. There was a turn at the sheriff's training center where i would put the inside tires on the edge of the asphalt thru the apex of the corner to go faster.
