For the photos, I always hit the go advanced button below the post window, then I click on the click here to upload photos button, and use that. Super easy, and the photos are hosted on Pelican. That way in the future is someone is looking at a post the photo will show up. There are tons of threads with just a red X from when people used Photobucket, and then photobucket started charging and the customers said nope, goodby. So the links are dead.
With the photos upload, they are always there. For this thread, it does not matter as only David has started at the beginning, and read all the way through. Sine I started at the beginning, I have read all the posts.
It does really matter on the 911 technical site. Upload a photo of a part of a procedure, or what the part looks like it is nice to see it the photo a decade or more later. It I upload via Tapatalk on my phone, it uses a web link to their site, and deletes it after a few months, so the dreaded red X is all that shows up.
