DCTs don't use the same type of clutch as a regular manual so it is hard to call them apples to apples. Most modern DCTs are wet clutches and really the wear on them depends on the controllers and fluid. VAG cars don't have a hard lockup from the factory so track use of their DSGs tend to lead to limp mode due to high fluid temps. Frequency of maintenance is more akin to automatics really. The big thing is though, like an automatic, if you blow a clutch pack, it means you are tearing apart the whole transmission. Not just dropping it and replacing you friction disc.
