Yep. Everything you said is true. I'm in & out a bit, but at my age I spend more time inside. Today is actually the first time I turned the AC on. As a kid in the late '40s, I remember the street in front of our house (no sidewalks, curbs, gutters, etc.) would get so hot, we could run over the asphalt in places and leave indentations, especially toward the side of the street. I imagine it was the composition of the asphalt, but I was pretty amazed as a kid.
