Thinking about the 17L. That is the looooong slide competition 9 mm, 6” barrel and slotted slide, otherwise identical to the 17.

This will be a range toy. I’ve shot a G19 for about 35 years so, yeah, I like Glocks.
Anyone have experience with the 17L or with other long barrel semiautos?
What is the advantage of long barrel semiautos? Longer sight base, more velocity, better mechanical accuracy, less felt recoil, wickedly cool look, make me shoot like Chow Yun Fat?
