2009 Fit. 180k mi. It is an Az car so those are mostly flat freeway. Cost $4k (plus $500 taxes and prep).
Except for the clutch, seat wear, and destroyed rear door seals everything is super tight. I can't hear it idling.
Spent a day and a half getting it with help from Kach. Three trips. An hour and a half driving each way. The lot didn't know what they were doing as half the cars had flat tires, didn't answer their phones, the office looked like keys and paperwork were chucked inside from the front door. Everything else comparable on the used car market is $6-10k around here and I wasted time chasing some real dogs.
Blue tape was to cover rock chips while spray ceramic waxing last night.
I will rust treat the divots and get some practice touching up paint.
I'm thinking of Fluid Film for inside the door and rails and suspension pieces. Box stores sell cans of it.
Eastwood also sells a zinc-phosphate paint and also with a 24" 360 spray hose for getting inside frame rails.

I figure if the rust is fixed it will be good for another 100k mi.
