My drywall gun has a torque adjustment so it wouldn't go too deep anyway. Plus I watch how deep it's going in. Why I'd like large head, robertson fitting drywall screws, is because I'm often holding the sheet of drywall up with one hand and balancing the screw on the end of the bit with the other hand. Squarehead/Robertson don't fall off like that and even stay on horizontally.
