The error/fraud rate for vote by mail is surely not zero - nothing is zero. But it is negligible. Compare to the problems caused by voter registration purges, closing polling stations, people waiting in line all day to vote, people who have to work on Election Day, hackable electronic voting machines - I love vote by mail.

Same with WA, started off voting absentee when I moved for college then we went all mail. I think Bill Clinton's second term was the last time I voted in person.
I'm all for electronic app based voting as well. I can manage my banking and my portfolio from my phone leveraging my face or fingerprint.
The bank account I access through the app is federally insured. I am sure a voting app could meet that same standard that the bank does to qualify for deposit insurance.
