It does not matter where you install your CIS gauge (WUR or FD side). As long as the shut-off valve is installed at the WUR side. My CIS pressure tester is permanently installed at the fuel distributor and just hook it up to WUR’s being tested. After calibrating hundred’s of these Bosch WUR’s, you will be able to establish that the factory manual instruction is not the ideal location. I conveniently use the WUR fitting.
The
PSM says to install it at the FD and that is good. But if you have 1,000 plus installations experience testing and calibration WUR’s you will see it differently. And I have more than 25 years of work experience and counting.
